I posted this over at WeAretheRealDeal Friday and I thought I’d posted it here too — but didn’t! Sorry! Anyway, the comments over there are certainly worth reading. You can read it here or after the jump. Continue reading “Girl on Girl Hate”

Lost Luggage Spurs Body Image Anxiety

This is a cross-post that will be featured on WeAretheRealDeal.com tomorrow — but here’s a sneak peek! 🙂

OMFG

If you didn’t read this post about Diesel’s “Be Stupid” campaign over at WeAretheRealDeal today, you absolutely need to. (OK, well, I recommend it ;))

I commented plenty in the comments so no editorializing here … but you just have to read it– and visit the campaign’s website — to see why this is such an outrage. Continue reading “OMFG”

Today’s the Day

FYI: This post also is running at WeAretheRealDeal.com.

As body image advocates, we know that when we take good care of our bodies – in particular, our hearts – we, in turn, feel good about ourselves. It’s a win-win scenario.

And while the topics discussed here at WeAretheRealDeal run the gamut from diet and weight loss to size acceptance, one thing I think we can all agree on is that we want every woman to feel good in her own skin. Continue reading “Today’s the Day”
