Some of you might recall that I missed participating on BlogHer’s body image panel when I couldn’t get a ticket (WeAretheRealDeal launched following the conference), but I’m going to be part of another body image/blogging panel with MamaV and some others at Roni’s upcoming FitBloggin’10 conference in Baltimore this coming March.
In case you can’t tell, I’m totally stoked!
My best friend lives in Annapolis, and I have lots of friends in the Baltimore/D.C. area, so this will be a great opportunity to “go home” and to do something really phenomenal. Plus, I loathe public speaking, and being part of a panel will force me to get over that fear quickly.

We can choose to be bold and ignore these images and say, “I’m ok with not being a size X” and “I love my thick, muscled calves.”
Or we can look at magazines, movies, images and hate on ourselves, wasting hours of our day in a narcissistic bubble. Continue reading “Quoteworthy”
Seriously, this commentary by beautiful, breathy-voiced Scarlett Johansson on the Huffington Post rocks.
I found it over at Roni’s Weigh and am passing it along here for all of you.
It’s about time a celebrity says something I can stand behind. Amen, Scarlett … amen!
