Here’s the list of articles I’ve either written or been featured in since I began blogging in 2008. I would love to do more freelancing or even speak as an advocate re: my DE journey/recovery/overcoming DE/body image issues related to pregnancy, post-pregnancy, and motherhood — so I’m always on the hunt for opportunities.

Any takers? Hit me up via email (Lissa10279 @ gmail dot com) or on Twitter @Lissa10279.

  1. Hi Melissa! This is Hallie, Dana’s friend… I just wanted to tell you that I’m really enjoying reading your blog. You are an amazing writer and I relate to so many of your feelings, thoughts, emotions, etc. Like you, I don’t feel like I have a “full blown” eating disorder, but what I do know is that my thoughts are often consumed about food (what I’m eating, what I’m not, what I want to eat!!) and my body image to the point that I feel like it has intruded on my life and sense of well-being. I have now started weight watchers (I’ve lost 7lbs so far!!) and I feel like a whole new world has been opened to me – the point system is great but more than that it has really helped me with my eating disordered thinking and I have gained an immense amount of comfort and strength in knowing that other people are out there too struggling with the same kinds of things I am. So, I just wanted to say thank you and to keep writing!! Hope to see you soon!!

  2. Hi Hallie!! I’m so glad you are on here!! Dana told me she’d told you about my blog. Congrats on those 7 lbs!! That is AWESOME!!! Way to go!! 🙂 🙂 🙂 Hope to see you soon, and keep in touch! I told Dana once my inlaws leave (they are here for 5 weeks, though we have 2 to go) I’d LOVE to get back to Chi-town and do that Girls Night she and I had talked about!! I adore you girls!! 🙂

    XOXO, Melissa

  3. Hi Melissa, I couldn’t find another way to get in touch with you, so I thought I’d just leave a comment. I love your mission and relate to your struggles. I created a web site to help women as well, and would love to feature you as a guest writer. Email me if you’re interested. (you can just click on my name in the comment, and it should take you to my site so you can have a look around.) Thanks!

    1. Michelle i have been trying to find you for twenty years your momsname is cherie she lived in haltrom texas i wish you would call me at 8063183109

  4. I just came across this blog and I love it! As a recovering anorexic/binge/purge disordered eater I created my own blog as a forum for a few women I know who are actively going through some of the issues. We all work together and help each other come to terms with each of our unique reasons for our behaviors. After all, as any one who has ever dealt with food issues knows, the root is rarely about food. I really like the way you write and I would welcome a guest post if you were willing.

    Take care,

  5. Good afternoon

I am fatiguing to and get a restore to health throughout this ringing in my ears. I know that this is a medical requirement but, this is getting not at home of control. I be acquainted with that I should court a doctor but I just cannot afford it. I inadequacy the ringing in my ears to put up already and destitution some suggestion from those on the forum here that can help. Do you know how to and get this ringing to stop?

  8. I am really loving the theme/design of your website.
Do you ever run into any web browser compatibility problems?

A small number of my blog visitors have complained about my website not
operating correctly in Explorer but looks great
in Safari. Do you have any suggestions to help fix this problem?

  9. Stick by your team through thick and thin, despite the wins and
losses. With the help of online resources you can easily find several online gaming sites.
During matches rush for football tickets goes
beyond any margin, and it becomes tough for the organisers
    to handle that.

  10. Hi would you mind letting me know which webhost you’re using?
I’ve loaded your blog in 3 completely different web browsers and I must
say this blog loads a lot faster then most.

Can you recommend a good web hosting provider at a honest price?
    Many thanks, I appreciate it!
