I promise to write out Ben’s birth story now that we’re home from the hospital and getting settled, but it might not happen for a couple more days so in the meantime, here’s the scoop!
Benjamin Diego was born at 9:29 AM on Thursday, October 3. Weighing 7 lbs 11 oz and measuring 20 inches “tall,” he is a spitting image of his daddy and looks just like Maya did at birth. SAME kid; it’s wild!!!
We are so in love with him. All the fears I had about not feeling connected to him in the womb … out the window. I didn’t know it was possible to love someone else as much as I love Maya … but my heart DOES have room for all my children, just like my mom said I would.
Welcome, Ben. You’ve made our little family complete!
