10. 3. 13

That sounds like a good birth day, doesn’t it?

To be honest, even though I knew I would be having a repeat C-section, I was a little surprised to hear the date when the surgeon’s scheduler called this afternoon … I knew it would be sometime between October 2-9 but hearing the date — and its finality — I was in momentary shock. “Whoa! This is REAL.”

At 29 weeks, I feel large but in charge. I’m still working out regularly — 6-7 days a week — and because this pregnancy I have kept up with strength-training in addition to cardio, I feel stronger and fitter than I did with Maya. Of course, my back aches a lot of the time and my chest is enormous, but on the whole, I feel good. And according to The Bump, he is the size of an acorn squash now, weighing about 2.5-3.5 lbs — hence, me feeling large and in charge ๐Ÿ˜‰

Pretty soon, we will know what this little acorn squash looks like and I am so curious! Maya came out of the womb looking like a mini Luis — their baby pics are identical. But then over the past 2+ years, she has become a mini me — although her personality has remained a pretty sweet combination of the two of us. So who knows what Baby Boy H will look like or be like … but we will know soon enough … most likely, on 10.3.13.

In the words of Joey Lawrence … “Whoa!”

  1. How awesome to have your date! That’s awesome. Way to go on keeping up with your workouts. I too have been averaging 6 days per week of exercise, but it is increasingly getting harder. Only 10 weeks left!

  2. glad I found your page! I’m going to read more and follow along with you and your pregnancy. you are just about a week ahead of me!
