Hello from the land of Kleenex, ginger ale, soup and snot 😉
I don’t get sick often, but when I do … it stinks. I seem to have caught whatever nasty cold has been going around the office sometime Tuesday. By Wednesday afternoon I was feeling like crud and I decided to work from home Thursday to avoid spreading more germs around the office. Of course, it happened to be one of those days where everything needed tending ten hours previous … so there was literally not a moment of rest.
So now for the past three days, I’ve been unable to taste a damn thing. Of course, I’m still eating (never fear!) … but for someone who loves to eat — to not be able to TASTE — sucks lemons. Luis brought me some chicken noodle soup from Panera at lunch yesterday and it helped clear up my sinuses a little … but even today I don’t feel a ton better and still can’t taste anything. Boo me.
So since they aren’t being nice to me right now, I thought I’d give a shout-out to my much-missed taste buds: how I love you, and appreciate you! Come back soon, please!
And to anyone else out there suffering with a winter cold or flu … I feel your pain!
Hey Lissa! I sure hope your taste buds have re-awakened by now. xo!
Thanks, Josie! YES–all better now 🙂
Ugh! I am sorry to hear that you don’t have any taste buds right now! That’s the WORST feeling in the world! 😦 I know a fair amount of people who are sick right now too… I always recommend QUERCETIN to everyone because it literally has kept me sickness free for 2 years! 🙂 I hope you feel better soon!
