March 15!

Very excited to announce that a blog post I pitched to Babble.com has been selected and will be published on March 15!

Seriously, I cannot wait to see it up there … I’ve been a long-time Babble reader and love the variety of content and perspectives from their regular bloggers and I would LOVE to be a regular contributor … but for now, I’ll take one of my posts going up as a huge accomplishment.

Goal #1 for 2012 was to submit something to Babble (or BabyCenter)

Goal #2 was to get published.

Come March 15, I’ll have done both — woot!

Honestly, if I could blog for a living I would. It’s not that I don’t love my job — I do! But my real passion has always been writing … relating to others, sharing, empathizing and making a difference. Blogging has been an amazingly powerful platform for me — during my recovery, at my worst, through the highs and lows, throughout my pregnancy and beyond. It has been my saving grace and I know it’s something I’ll be doing for a long time — even though I don’t earn an income from it.

Sometimes, the best things in life are, indeed, free.

    1. I would LOVE that … one step at a time, though 🙂 I submitted a few posts, actually, and am waiting to hear back on the others but I’m super stoked for this one, at least.

  1. Congratulations! I am so happy for you, and kind of want to know your tips 😉 I informally pitched Babble before I was pregnant (I thought a pre-conception readiness post would be kind of a cool perspective), but never got a response 😦 Now that my situation has changed, I wonder what I could do to get their attention…

    1. LOL, thanks, Lara! Pitching tips? I can email you offline if you’d like! I know Roni is graduating to the Toddler Board and there are a few pregnant bloggers now who will be moms in early summer … not sure how long you have to be pregnant before you begin blogging there?? So stoked for you 🙂
