I admit I’ve always been book-smart but have lacked common sense on many occasions.
I’ve read lots about “pregnancy brain” and “pregnesia” and never really understood it … til now.
In Michigan, we need to put new registration decals (which go on our license plates) during our birthday months. Since my birthday is Saturday and my license and registration were both about to expire, I hit the DMV for a night of fun. HA. (Having lived in four states I can tell you, the DMV is never fun!)
Anyway, 90 minutes later, I walked out with a new 2011 orange decal and a new (temporary) license. I found my car (a black Honda Civic) and affixed the decal. I went to get in my car when I realized “FRICK! This is NOT my car!” Yes, it was black and yes it was a Honda and yes it was parked where my car was parked and yes it had the 2010 yellow OCT decal … but it was not my car!!
Fortunately, I was able to peel it off … and, sure enough, two cars down was my beloved little Civic 😉
Just a funny little dittie on a Thursday night.
I think I need some sleep … baby’s draining me!

Pregnancy brain IS no myth. I’m normally the most on-time person in the world, and I missed all kinds of appointments when I was pregnant. My favorite – I once left home at 7 a.m. for a 9 a.m. doctor’s appointment (a 10-minute drive from my house). NO clue why I did this!
Hahahah! Oh wow I just laughed out loud. Literally. So glad you got the sticker off though. Those things can be a bitch if you don’t even line in up right. I’d imagine if that were me I’d start breaking down and crying. Well done for fixing it 🙂
