Thank you for sharing that article. It was very well written and honest, and I wish that more people could understand the message it is sending. I think what strikes me the most is the point about the media, because this article addresses the fact that EDs are in fact MUCH more complex and involved and cannot simply be caused by outside influence.

So true. While I think the media plays a role it is certainly not a “cause”.
Yup, as a person recovering from ED, I stand in agreement. Especially with #10 — I nearly killed myself with anorexia and over-exercise, but I have binged to the point of weight gain, too. It’s confusing, both for me and others, but both sides of the ED absolutely suck.
Me too, I experienced both sides of the coin and both are terrible.
